3 for the price of 4 (a bit of a rant) ...
I'm usually not one to go off on a rant, but consider this a strong suggestion to the ticket and concert industries.
Like most people, I don't mind paying a fair price for a show. And I think everyone deserves to make their fair share and get adequately compensated for their contributions, whether it be for their creative work or for taking the financial risk in putting on a show.
But, as this receipt shows, the breakdown of "fees" and "charges" is absurb.

We bought three tickets to Flight of the Conchords with a face value of $37 each. When all the "fees" and "charges" were applied, we had essentially bought a fourth ticket ~ and told them to keep the $1.05 change.
The show was clearly worth the almost $50 per ticket that we really paid.
Maybe give this a try: Just charge me $50 and keep your "fees" and "charges" to yourselves. I still will feel good about my entertainment investment ~ and I might even think and speak more highly of the ticket and concert industries!
Just saying.
