That's what it took for Boston University to stage an instantly legendary collegiate sports finish more thrilling than any Final Four basketball game ... ever!
BU, my alma mater, took its fifth national collegiate hockey championship with a last-minute third period comeback and eventual OT win last night in the Frozen Four in D.C.

The 2009 NHL Winter Classic was terrific ~ all the way down to the throw-back uniforms! What a great departure from the usual New Year's Day college football bowl games.

Invesco Trimark has a great new TV commercial in Canada that weaves together clips of Wayne Gretzky and Maurice Richard as if they are playing in the same game.
Gretzky wheels behind the net, passes to Richard who backhands the puck into the net. Then the 2 NHL greats embrace on the ice. [I was unable to find the spot online.]
