Top 5 iPhone apps ...
As an early iPhone adopter, a lot of folks ask me what applications they should get for their iPhone.
With more than 15,000 to choose from in the iTunes App Store, there's something for everyone ~ lots of stuff you need and lots more than you really don't need.
Here are the five I use daily and find indispensable (pre-loaded apps not included, like iTunes, Mail, Safari, etc.):
Things
Things is a task manager that has a killer Mac desktop component ($49.95). While I manage most of my tasks and projects from my MacBook Pro, the iPhone version of Things allows me to have access to my tasks and projects anywhere. It's also great for shopping lists and keeping track of the more than 100 movies my wife I have on our "must see" list.

Tweetie
I've tried almost all of the Twitter clients out there, but Tweetie has the best UI that combines simplicity with powerful tools, like trends, search and proximity.

Facebook
This is a great "on-the-go" version of Facebook ~ just enough information to check in and post.

CameraBag
CameraBag gives you filters that allows you to place seven cool effects on your photos, such as vignetting, a wide-screen cinematic view or if they were taken with a Polaroid, a 1974 instant camera or a square-format toy camera. They just came out with a "lite" version for 99 cents that has three of the more popular filters.

SnowReport
SnowReport is great for skiiers and snowboarders. Add as many ski areas as you want and it will give you all the info you need to hit the slopes ~ number of trails and lifts, conditions, weather and links to the ski area's website.

Google Mobile App
This apps make a great search engine even easier. Just hold your iPhone up to your face and speak your search. If you speak clearly, Google will return extremely accurate results ... no typing necessary.
